We take data protection very seriously and are committed to protecting your privacy and security.
The information provided by you will be processed by the Big Meadow Search team, will be stored securely in the UK and will be managed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (2018).
Any personal details supplied (such as name and e-mail address) will only be used for the purposes of the Big Meadows Search. We will only be using your email address if we need to contact you to ascertain more details about your records. Your email address will not be passed on to any third parties including the Local Environmental Records Centre. It is only your name and the survey data that will be shared with the appropriate Local Environmental Record Centre (LERC).
The only people that can see your name and email address are the Big Meadow Search organisers. Every biological record must have an attributed recorder so your name will be available to the LERC unless you request for your records to be submitted anonymously as an ‘Unknown-Big Meadow Search recorder’.
You can see the information that we hold about you at any time by emailing us on bigmeadowsearch@gmail.com You may request for it to be deleted if you wish at any time.
Biological records submitted to the Big Meadow Search and subsequently to the LERC, may be shared with other organisations and users for the benefit of the conservation and understanding species distribution and ecology.
